Get your child motivated to read this school year
!1. Reading is for ALL EARS!: Read aloud to your child, even after they've learned to read on their own!
2. Regular Intervals: Set aside a special time to read with your child--before breakfast, at bedtime or before dinner. Just 15 minutes will encourage life-long reading!
3. Get "CAUGHT" in the act!: Let you're child know that reading isn't something you just do in school--let them see you reading!
4. Share your stories: Tell your child stories from your childhood and share your experiences!
5. Take advantage of everyday opportunities: Books, Magazines, Comics, Newspapers are all great but don't forget about everyday items like cereal boxes, road signs and grocery lists.
